How can I improve my dps?

So I'm kinda stuck in a rut atm. I'm a cold crit, non-CI witch at lvl 70 now, with 2200 dps on Ice spear, and 2042 dps on freezing puls, and I can't seem to raise it any further no matter what I do.

Could anyone help me out here? Any tricks I'm missing out on?

Well, the usual answer, find better gear. :) Not that what you have is bad, but there's always better.

If you are getting a lot of critical strikes, then you would want to take the Critical Strike Modifier passives to increase the critical damage. You are already near the Throatseeker keystone entry point.

Edit: Just be aware that cold witches don't tend to do lots of damage, they primarily freeze their enemy and kill them over time.

Yeah, I should get that, I know. Was waiting for until I felt I did enough crit strikes, and now that I do more than enough, I'm already at a high lvl and that means it's gonna take ages actually getting the Throatseeker. But yeah, should be getting it.

What about my gems? Anything I should change?

no +1/2 to cold spells item anywhere? that's ur first upgrade... get that unique staff or a helm or something...

You really dont need damage nodes XD, what you need is cast speed, the more cast speed you have the more critical strikes, the more freeze, the more damage you do over all.

And invest your currency into LMP or GMP 20% quality, it adds cast speed = more fucking damage.

Those 6% cold nodes do nothing XD

Also run with Haste Aura for added Cast speed, and OMG get Inner Force ASAP, its the biggest boost to your auras.

With this your going to kill mobs under 0.000001 sec, and they wont move at all, they will be perma frozen.


Now if you run into mana problems, get Mana Drinker in shadow tree, or get 40% mana regen on your accessories, that should be more then enough.

Auras you should run is, Haste and Purity + reduced mana on it, clarity maxed, Discipline, Grace(depends on your mana pool, if you dont have enough link it to blood magic gem)

Also 4 link your spell totem.
And 5 link your chest.

To increase the damage.

try get good gear, with good gear u can optimize ur passive tree to maximum^^. get it step by step

maybe someday it looks like mine^^.

(rings are trash, looking for big upgrades, dont need any res on rings an still be at 80res)

This makes a lot of sense, actually. I was told NOT to get cast speed, and rather get high CC and CD, and add cast speed through gear as I go along. Thank you!

I really wonder how I'm going to be able to have that many auras up at once, though. Only have 1046 mana atm.

What nodes should I prioritize if I were to respec, though? Inner Force? Nimbleness? Cast speed on the shadow tree?

Haste barely affects my dps, though. Boosts it by mere 80 or so..

Oh and, why not Throat seeker?

Ah, thanks! Might it be smart to respec two (or three) of the crit chance nodes in the beginning of the path and go on the other side instead? The cast speed nodes, I mean.
