Character reset with steam link.

Goodday everybody.

I have a little problem. I wanted to link my steam to the website to see all the characters and stuff on the website. But when it asked to delete the existing account i was expecting the account that i just made on the website and not the steam account. I thought the steam account would override the website account.

Is there a change you can bring my account back to only steam like this would never happend? I was making good progress on POE.

You do this by logging into the website through Steam.

There's a button on the log in page.

The tool is for people who registered an account here on the website, used the standalone client, and some time later decided they would like to begin using Steam. It causes the specified Steam account to log into the specified Path of Exile account. Steam accounts can only be linked to a single PoE account at any one time.

You can't actually play Path of Exile on a Steam account. The first time you install it through Steam, it'll ask you whether you'd like to link to an existing account, or create a new Path of Exile account to have linked to your Steam account. You always play on a Path of Exile account on GGG's Path of Exile servers.
