There's virtually no group play on consoles because of the lack of features, so what does it matter "starting on a level playing field"

The game already feels like a single player, will feel more so with no cross play for Xbox users as there's almost no player base anymore.

Well the Chris attribution is a bit of a wry chuckle for me. I expect that the Xbox launch was dominated by cross over players from the PC platform - and most of the rest of us relied on PC based build guides. I suspect that the trade market was totally ruled by cross over players for example. And having leagues available a few days earlier on PC certainly deflates the "learn the game together" bit, unless Chris was referring to reading about it on the forums or Reddit. I expect the only difference with the PS4 launch will be that some of the cross over players may have had their enthusiasm dented by how Xbox has played out (for many of them, judging from the Xbox forums, it's not the same experience as they enjoyed on the PC platform).
