Depends if you are just wanting to get to higher level areas to grind, and then come back to finish quests later.
There is a quest reward list on the wiki found here http://en.pathofexilewiki.com/wiki/Quest_Rewards Typically I do all quests that give skill pts and skip the ones the give refund pts. Here is what I skip usually. Act 1: Skip Fetid Pools, and The Marooned Mariner(unless you aren't worried about the flicker mobs) Act 2: you can skip white beast and church Act 3: you can skip the sewers, but I would still do them as you need the way pt and you get a skill pt. Skip the side areas though as they are just for leveling/grinding for maps. In act 2 The spike from Weavers Chambers. Get the Baleful gem from Chamber of sins Help or Kill all bandits ( Gives you the Apex to summon Vaal ) Activate the shadow orb in Vaals Ruins Kill Vaal In Act 3 Save Clarissa and Tolman to get the sewer Key Go through solaris to find lady Dialla Get the Ribbon spool from Battlefronts Get the thaumetic sulfite(spelling?) from docks Deliver them to Dialla Use item received to clear the blockade in Warehouse Sewers Kill Piety All other quests can be skipped. |

just join groups with tp up and skip whole areas by just sitting in town and hopping around. problem is u have to grind grind grind lvls, which isnt a problem but just know that ahead of time as you will be way under content doing it this way.

" Of course I know that. The whole point is to farm areas that are the fastest for races
" Thanks, exactly what I needed to know
" Exactly what I was looking for, too! Thaks!
There's a faster way to solo the first half of act 2, that requires pretty much 0 back tracking. I've seen helman do it in races, and now I always do act 2 this way. The purpose of doing it in this order, is that it keeps you in the level appropriate zones. For example, if you do weaver before going through The old fields, your going backwards in zone levels. Here you go...
A: The Blackwood WP Exit town into "the riverways" Stay on road, head straight to "the Blackwood" Go straight in black wood, get waypoint and go back to town (It's always in the same area, close to the entrance, just go straight) B: Chamber of Sins Exit town into "the old fields" Stay on the road, exit into "the crossroads" Stay on the road, it will lead to literally a crossroad where the WP is After grabbing the WP, take the road that heads west Enter chamber of sins, complete quest C: Kill kraityn Waypoint to "the crossroads" Take the road north, exit into "The broken bridge" Follow the road, kill or help kraityn (Step D is the most important one. The next logical step is to kill the weaver, but if you do that, you will either have to backtrack through the entire spider den afterwards, or waypoint back to the beginning of "the Blackwood". So instead we...) D: The Western Forest WP Waypoint to "the Blackwood" Find the entrance to the spider den, and create a portal right outside Continue on, exit into "the western forest" Follow the road, the waypoint will be close, right on the road Get the waypoint, head back to town. E: kill the weaver Use the portal you previously created to go back to the spider den Kill the weaver Portal back to town F: The western forest Waypoint to the western forest Follow the road, it will take you to The guards Kill all the gaurds, use thematic emblem Kill or help Alira The rest of act 2 can be completed in a linear fashion. As I said, the point of doing the first half of act 2 in this order, is to avoid backtracking, and keep you in level appropriate zones. Obviously kill stuff on the way so you can level.
