Enough With the D3 vs PoE Beta

The amount of threads and comments are getting ridiculous.

Why is everyone acting like D3 and the PoE beta are in direct competition!?

Both have had a beta for ages now, but when D3 gets released PoE beta is going to suddenly die? That's ridiculous, they're different games ffs.

No, just because they are similar does not mean that they have to fight each other until one remains.

Games don't work like that, if genres are niche enough people struggle to find many games, so similar games are played by the same audience.

If the genre is popular, lots of people will still play games of the same genre (CoD,Halo; Minecraft, Terraria; etc).

So sorry, but I fail to understand your point.

There might be some competition between the two games because they are in the same genre, but it's clear, abundantly, that PoE is catering to the hardcore gamers among the fans of the ARPG genre.

Anyways, everyone will have something to look forward to.

I'd say, its based on players money... ^^

Beta testing will probably see a drop when D3 is released but a new patch could counter it when it comes(major patch that is)to a degree.

But anyway if POE is good enough it will get played wether D3 existed or not.They certainly seem like they will be different experiences.Without PvP D3 has already given people a reason to go to POE for more intense gameplay.
