Suggestion: More dynamic towns

Towns seem static. Nothing changes, NPC's don't patrol, no day or night cycles and NPCs always being in same coordinates.

I think D2 did a good approach to this by having the NPC's sometimes not be there because they would be somewhere else in the town.

But I noticed that all the towns so far are very consolidated, small and cramped (apocalyptic setting so it makes sense) so with NPC roaming it may just not work out, also with the low amount of NPCs to interact with is another possible reason. I think bigger towns, (not a whole lot bigger) would just be more welcoming and may offer more options.

I don't know if there is plans for this, but at the current stage if town size is not increased, I don't see more NPCs or such coming.

You don't need NPC moving around, for that you have players. Towns are never empty, always there are players moving around.
I will say that when things go live or open beta and the population jumps way up. Towns will probably start getting cramped. Even as it is, I sometimes have difficulty clicking on the stash because of 3 or 4 people standing at it already.

Towns already have a player limit, so it won't get more crowded than now when the game goes live.

That's the thing though. The NPC's just...stand / sit there. I don't mind if they remain mostly stationary, but it would make the camps seem a bit more alive if the NPC's were at least doing something. Most NPC's are just standing there with their arms crossed. Earmir appears to at least be making a potion or something. I think it would be a nice little touch to have them doing things. It's not about the movement so much as creating an immersive world.

Have you removed Asus ROG/GameFirst yet?
Just please don't make them wander around..

Would be soo annoying trying to make a quick stop in town, while my party is plowing through zones, and then have to search for the bloody npc..
