Race Events on XBOX?

I'm an old school PC player who recently began playing PoE again on XBOX, please excuse my ignorance on XBOX specific plans, features, etc... I'm in catch up mode.

Anyway, that aside, have there been any race Events for XBOX players in the past? If not, do we know if it's a planned addition? And if it isn't...why the hell not?

One thing I did quite actively in the past were the race Events. I think it would be a healthy addition to our platform, once more important issues are finished, ofc.

We have just recently started getting race events. Ours start 3-5 days after PC races start.

You will only be able to see the top 50 on the site with no filter options. You will need to download the CSV file to view and filter (top right of the chart).

We also have no way to see what build or gear people are using. Hopefully if / when they allow console account linking this will change.

Thank you for the info. I greatly missed the races. I used to pass a lot of time doing so.

Hopefully, in the near future, we'll see improvements along the lines of matching PC features.

I'll have to do a little more research on the matter now that I know that we do have the races.

EDIT : After checking the link and reading your post again and realizing you mentioned the 3 to 5 day lapse, are you referring to when we get the leagues, or do you actually mean race Events?

The last race (Incursion) as far as I remember, actually started on Xbox at the same time as PC (I think the first one may have too, but that memory is more fuzzy).

My own personal theory is that the race "patch" does not contain any new material and hence the Xbox release can be significantly speeded up.

Other than that, what Corrison said. Well, maybe I would add that there are no guarantees. From time to time when prodded, Jeff will drop a hint about what to expect but he really does seem shy of raising expectations absent some motivation.

As an incentive to race on the Xbox, I will add that so far we have received a separate (reduced) allocation of Demi's. Should you thirst for one, I imagine that it is more easily accomplished on Xbox - although you may have to play off the build(s) of the month of course.

PoE doesn't really do the same races it used to do, the closest thing we have to it now is the Flashback events which last for a month and there should be a new one at the end of October, we had one at the end of Abyss and Incursion.

It's both refreshing and also disappointing to see the number of things that are not only not easily accomplished, but often times more difficult to manage on the XBOX platform.

The lack of party play without having paid for Gold service changes many things for people on XBOX. Many goals players set on PC and/or challenges met on PC via utilizing parties are significantly further out of reach without much more dedication. This extra motivation needed does not bother me, but the lack of options does.

We greatly lack trade tools and social aspects that can be game changing. The lack of a guild system takes away many possibilities and social respect for a game that is widely built on a social trading and co-op foundation. These points all decrease markets and increase expenses.

Limited keybinding options, flawed binding mechanics in the delve mines, etc...these are all build altering aspects.

I could go for hours, but several of these topics are dead horses at this point, and off topic. Unfortunately, seeing the phrase, "more easily accomplished", when referring to PoE on XBOX when compared to it's counterpart gets under my skin slightly.

Honestly, if anything, the XBOX platform players have it significantly harder, and this says a lot about the player base accomplishing a good bit of what it has thus far.

We are halfway through the league and just had our first player reaching level 100 just yesterday.

That alone says a great many things.
