Higher than 20% quality armour/weapons?

Is it possible to have >20% quality on armour or weapon? Couldn't find info on POE wiki or with a quick search on forums.

I just see 27% and 28% on armour pieces for this person and saw a 30% quality weapon starforge screenshot IIRC.

Yes, you can have more than 20% quality on armour and weapons. You have to use a perfect fossil on an normal/magic/rare item for 15-30% quality.

For him to have gotten a UNIQUE with 30% quality. He would have to first use a perfect fossil and then spam chance orbs, till that normal/magic/rare sword transformed into that specific unique starforge.

This can cost like 300+ chaos, to get that to work. In otherwords, you're looking at a lucky person with that starforge.

problem is, you cant chance a Starforge xD (but ye other chancable uniques are possible to make like this)
the 30% starforge screen ist prolly from Beastiary league where the 30% quality beast craft receipe existed and also it corrupted your item a friend did it a few times in Bestiary league^^

Appears that yes the starforge was an old pic - I played briefly way back in 2013, then recently started playing since the end of incursion league. Not aware of all the fossil types yet as I'm slowly exploring the mine.

Starforge could corrupt to 30% quality in bestiary.
