How to leave a delve?

I have had a few delves where I ended up quickly noticing that my life was going down way too quickly for me to be able to complete it. However, there does not seem to be a solution to abort a run without dying.
Am I supposed to either Alt+F4? Am I supposed to just die? Are there solutions to abandon a delve before failing it (in order to avoid dying)? |

AltF4, basically.

Thanks for the answer.
Just Alt+F4'd while delving : I got blocked by mobs when going to a sideways chest while the cart was going on. Couldn't hurt the mobs to clear the way. |

top left corner you will see a candel buttion after presing v i could post a screenshot with arrow mark if you have stil didnt fount how to leave delve

Thanks for the feelings, but, as I said in my first post, I am looking for a way to abort a delve that is currently happening, not simply exit the area when I have finished.
