Always the same story, people not understanding RNG and having ridiculous expectation regarding the game.

Doesn't sound like you're Delving correctly. Instead of whining, you should learn how to play this league.

Crafting is always RNG based. Fossils simply tip the scales more one way or another, allowing you to (more likely) create something insane.
Fossils also add Fossil-Only Mods which can create some truly great things.

I made these items last night, took a few tries sure, but I couldn't have made them otherwise without spending a LOT of currency. The ring would be impossible to make, even with a lot of currency.





This league is great, absolutely love the mechanics.

Some things works, and some of them - doesn't. I just tried to craft an elder amulet with 85 ilvl base. So. I addded: Aberrant Fossil (More Chaos modifiers
No Lightning modifiers) + Scorched Fossil (More Fire modifiers
No Cold modifiers) + Prismatic Fossil (More Elemental modifiers
No Poison or Bleeding modifiers) + Pristine Fossil (More Life modifiers
No Armour, Energy Shield or Evasion modifiers). What i got? An amulet without any life or chaos mods. But i had flat fire and increased fire atleast.

WTF? Am i wrong, or shoudl resonator craft work as an essence craft?

See, Here's the thing;

Its stupidly easy to make chaos in this league; Delves supply it in pure forms, and as fossils.

Sell fossils(the common kind!) for 3c a pop.

Amass chaos, And buy all the crafted gear.

OR

play the RNG lottery and maybe nail a:

Heavy Belt

35 str implcit
44+ ES P
20-30% fire damage P
15% damage from Leo P

50+ str explicit S
10-12 % increased Attributes S
25-30 % Elemental damage S

Thats 30+30+15% = 75% increased damage to FIRE on a single item, while granting the user 12% boost to all attributes, having very high strength on it for 1: life, and 2: Mana(Shaper's touch).

In other words, GG LLRF Or any other strength/fire damage scaling build.

Is it easy to get that? There is a reason i say GG...

How you craft this:

Fossil craft two sockets: Scorched Fossil + Prismatic Fossil.

Sorched removes All cold modifiers, making it easier to roll what you want by eliminating some possibilities. Prismatic Removes any chance for Chaos Resist.

If you want to eliminate more rolls, add a third fossil(Dense) which removes all life mods, if you are ES based, this is fine; though I'm opting against it in my rolls, as The cost per roll is prohibitive at that point.

The rest is RNG.
