Stable FPS and no crashing with multithreading.

...GGG actualy did it. Can't believe my eyes.
... stable fps, 6 crashes and 2 rip because crashes. Nice start, OMG! W10, dx11, multithreading. What i did wrong?

I have them too..
My spec 6700, 1080, w10, dx11.
2 crashes.
And actually there is a lot of threads in bug report about crashes.

im just getting tanked fps. its quite ridiculous. can't play with the new global illumination thing on

6700, 1070, w10, dx11. had a cpl crashes but mostly just fps issues
Crashed a few times so far, incursion felt more stable.

I maxed the new lighting stuff out and its been pretty smooth here so far in combat (and, it looks fantastic, nice job on that), although I did get 2 CTD selecting a node on the delve map. No errors or the like so not sure what that's about but haven't lost any resources or anything important as of yet.
i crash here and there when trying to look at delve map

Windows 10 is your problem. Or to be more precise, it is all the Windows 10 Kernel changes that have occurred since the shit hit the fan in January about the Meltdown and Spectre viruses/malware shit.

In the August Windows patch Tuesday updates info:

"Not infrequently, Redmond ships updates that end up causing stability issues for some users, and it doesn’t hurt to wait a day or two before seeing if any major problems are reported with new updates before installing them. Microsoft doesn’t make it easy for Windows 10 users to change this setting, but it is possible. For all other Windows OS users, if you’d rather be alerted to new updates when they’re available so you can choose when to install them, there’s a setting for that in Windows Update."

I installed a Dell 5510 computer in April, complete with Windows 10 Pro, and even installed VirtualBox so that an old Windows XP could still be used on a 3 monitor system. Everything was working perfectly, then the July Patch Tuesday came in and wrecked stability, causing the computer to reboot 4 to 6 times a day. A few days after that I helped him rollback the updates. He ran for a few days perfect (0 reboots), then the updates came in again and wrecked stability. Rolled them back again and in Windows 10 you can enable delaying of updates for 35 days (can't set to manually control the install like in Windows 7) so that was done to stop the auto updates from destabilizing his Windows 10.

When I read about what Meltdown was all about in the 1st week in January 2018 and understood how the Intel cpu hardware design flaw in the caching part of the cpu could be leveraged in a way that allowed access to the OS Kernel memory, I thought about it, then realized this cpu cache exploit could only be used effectively on multi-user systems to access other users memory contents. So WTF, my home gaming rig is single user forever so I don't need this patch shit. So in my home computer I have Windows 7 Pro in manual update mode (alert me but don't auto install any update), I check all updates, and then only install patches that don't have anything to do with Meltdown, Spectre, or any other Intel cpu cache vulnerabilities since I'll never have anyone else accessing my gaming rig. The result of my diligence is a much more stable PoE (it still will crash sometimes if I Alt-Tab out to look something up and then come back too many times) and I don't incur a 5% to 30% performance penalty by keeping all this crazy patch shit out.

Every major patch from GGG is bound to have bugs and PoE can crash out from them but not having a buggy OS Kernel is a major plus to running PoE or any other software. Plus not slowing down by 15% on average is great too.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.
