Can servers come up early?

Have servers ever come up early in this past or is it always right when they say it is. This is my first launch day with PoE. Thanks in advance.

In all the years I've done new league day I've never once seen the server start earlier then launch time. But hey maybe today will be the one day it does.

" Well servers are patched and the client downloads are already pushed out. You can log in now and be put in the queue. Odds are, however, that you may get kicked out a couple of times. Usually by 10 minutes of league start most everyone is in and can play. If you want to wait in the queue for the hype... it is available now. |

Would be mighty unfair against racers if they came online at the previously announced time, only to find that people have an hour lead on them already.

Well they do have a system with which they can let players in but essentially have time stopped until the league start time so everyone just stands at the beginning of Twilight Strand without being able to do anything. From what I've heard they don't use it for major leagues though.

You would think they would let you get on Standard League just to see if the patch took.

Nope, they're always right on the clock. Everyone storms in at 10 PM (CET) and then the servers crash.
