There's no way to set golems to Self Preservation Mode. They're minions, they'll always attack when given a chance. The one Primordial jewel makes them attack moar, but there's no corresponding jewel to make them attack less. This is why people set golems to recast themselves via Cast When Damage Taken or such; it's a popular way to ensure your buff pylons stay up even after rushing bravely* into suicidal odds.

" No, there is no "stance" setting for any minions that would make them less suicidal. Are you linking them with Minion Life? POE Serenity Prayer: GGG, grant me the serenity to accept the RNG I cannot change,

Thing is, golems attack where you attack or cast spells, so they'll always bum rush the mobs. Worst case, you put them on a cwdt.

" Side note: I tend to like level 8 CWDT with level 10 golems. Most golems give you the bulk of their buff effect at level 10, the ones people usually like can sometimes give up to 80% of their level 20 buff at level 10, and level 8 CWDT has proven a good balance between high-level buffy golems and reasonable refresh timers. Also allows you to do something else with that linkset if you like for something in need of infrequent maintenance; Blood Rage comes to mind. Just as a "hey this worked for me" note. She/Her
