HUGE Stash tab discounts?

I know that there are regular stash tab discounts every two weeks or so, but are there ever any huge discounts to look forward to? For example, on holidays or some other occasions?

they are not.
Don't think they're likely to. Would give the people who bought stuff buyers remorse.
I don't consider them discounts. I just consider these "sales" as the actual price. I think they should just do away with this whole stupid daily long rotations anyway.

There was a black friday sale 2(?) years ago, where almost everything was discounted a lot. But it probably wont happen again.

I agree with this, especially when you see that a P.Quad Tab is $15 normally and only drops to like, what $10 on a sale.

Explains why I only have 5, with one being a purchase off-sale because I didn't know a sale was coming up...
Not much anymore. We just had the 50 Point Sale last weekend (164 items discounted and not nearly 200) and that's as large of a sale as GGG has done in a while. To see how far back the Black Friday and Black Weekend after Thanksgiving sales were see the PoE Wiki Daily deals listing or the PoE Daily Deals spreadsheet.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

I wanted to get currency tab and map tab but combined price is just to match even on sale.
Won't even bother to take one without other, i wanted some convenience but won't accept halfass.
On std i guess it's worth it but for my league short life it's just convenient and not ever used to full potential they price it for.
Idk i got good will to do it but got repulsed. For league currency, premium tab and map tab is convenient, but they made it to good and too expensive or something like that. Thing is when you ever bother shop again if you never start. Game is not that fun when you suffer without convenience, but they can keep they standard and i keep my money.

Which is silly, because everything goes on sale at some point or another. Having something go on sale for a bigger value and being upset over it is asinine.

Imagine all the people who bought a game on day one ...who then saw a game go on sale a month or two later. If they all had buyers remorse ...then you'd never see games sold on release ...they'd all be waiting until the eventual sale period.

GGG doesn't do large discount sales for the same reason they even charge something like $60 for some MTX ...because they want the money, and they can. I always scoff when they say "big discount sale" on stuff ...and it's like 17% off, but I don't think I've ever seen a discount price change on something, ever. A 5 point pet is always going to be 5 points ...because it's a throwaway to get people spending money. You're not going to see a 200 point pet discounted to 50 points ...because GGG want's the money.

A place like Steam understands that moving volume is how you make the best profit, but GGG depends on "whales" for money ..and it's been enough to keep them afloat. I doubt GGG would ever change that ideology ( just like their stance on RNG layers ) in order to have a better outcome; because they fear something different than what they want, even if it ends up being a net gain.

I had the same exact problem with my last job, they would make so much more money when they had a great sale going ...but they hated it, because it was selling things at a lower profit margin. They want a high profit margin per unit ...not profit from volume. It made zero sense..and it's why they constantly went through "night and day" customer sales based on when they had something good on sale that consumers wanted. They'd bitch about not having enough to pay for labor on the days they refused to move stock ...and it was obvious to us why they kept running into this issue.

GGG will be fine, or it won't. But to them ...lowering prices on MTX is like the worst thing in the world, even if it would make their consumers extremely happy ..and their wallets happy as well.
GGG makes (or made) their money off stash tabs. Hardly "whales". Truth is, none of us really know. We only suspect. I suspect that most of their money comes from people who put in about $50. You wouldn't see that on the forums. People here are fans. They buy stuff just to show off that they bought stuff. That's what we see. But there's a lot more money behind the stuff you don't get to see.
