Camera Pitch / Angle

Hey folks just a quick check in, love everything about PoE and big fan of this type of game. Was never able to get over the camera angle. Have they acknowledged the problem yet or mentioned any sort of looking into it?

there is no 'problem' with the camera angle. this is a 3rd person isometric game, the camera is right where it is supposed to be.
Make sure you're not "zoomed in". You can check a box in options to disable it.

I will say if you're coming from Diablo 3, the camera angle does feel strange at first. For me though I ended up really liking the higher angle then D3.
I have no doubt the devs put it right where they intended it to be. But simply googling PoE camera angle and all the results and long discussions of others recognizing the problem throughout the years, many people not playing because of it..... kind of validates that it is indeed a problem. Maybe not for you. I'm sure others are fine with it as well, but the view alone is why many more haven't played it. I personally experience this issue. It's too top down. So not sure what grounds you think you're on where you can say it's not a problem.

Anyway, looks like things haven't changed. I'll move on.
The devs put it there for a reason. It is working exactly as they intend. It being an 'issue' to you does not make it a problem that the devs are going to address. you arent that special.

you say "It's too top down"....

The camera cannot be rotated. If you lower the camera so that it gives you a larger field of view 'up' toward the top of the monitor, you LOSE vision between your character and the bottom of your monitor. There could be something very close to you that you just wont see because of the pitch of the camera.

Just get ultra wide monitor or run in a stretched windowed bordered view ffs. Not like there is any other ARPG that is even worth playing.
Even that long old thingie Sacred 2 had fully customizeable camera angles. This fixed isometric view in full 3D gaem feels obsolete and restrictive.
This issue has been argued time and time again.

It's a problem. We should be able to adjust it. The view way over the top compared to just about every other award winning ARPG. Period.
