Remote Gulch where?

When I head to the maps it's listed to spawn in I'll keep an eye out for the "Area Includes Vaal Side Area" or whatever, but it hasn't shown in over 70 area resets and a good 200 Vaal Fragment runs...

I've seen some somewhat recent posts about it being available, and the fact that there are people with 40 challenges means it's somewhere...but how long would it normally take to find one side area?

Check spawn locations in link above and buy the Hidden Vaal Pathways prophecy. Have it active while farming those areas and you´ll get the vaal boss quickly.

i just did this last night + some idle time at work and it was really frustrating. Everything else took at max 3-4 tries. Started doubting the wiki but its definitely there.

Added to the problem was the fact that ship graveyard can spawn both gulch and sunken, so when i finally got the vaal icon on the map my heart jumped....

I've been looking for Curator Miem in 30-40 Foothill maps without success, and after that close to 10 Crematoriums, also without success. Either the bastard is gone, or I've been exceptionally unlucky.

I asked about the spawn chance of Vaal side areas in a thread some days ago, but nobody knew. Seem to be damn low, though. Or very low in some maps.

Ended up buying one of these and, obviously, got it instantly.

Still...the extremes that GGG goes to have RNG be a blockade to some challenge content access is ridiculous.
