LabCompass "do i get banned or not, if use" ?

is this allowed to use? if so i would definitely use it. saves me the time/stress/crashes when alt+tabbing all the time :D

basically dont wanna use it, and end up getting banned. is there maybe something official to that already?

Maybe email support and ask, though you may want to phrase it as is this addon against the ToS

I emailed and asked if it's ok to use (though i get the feeling that they were more concerned about the integrity of the creator and the program)



But you are kinda prooving a point i was trying to make on the reddit, when you seen it you started thinking will this get me banned...i would guess that you thought the addon gave a fairly large advantage over not using it.

would only say an advantage by not having to alt+tab and check on poelab myself :D

just buy an extra monitor and that will solve the "alt+tab" "problem". :)

It is the personal (not professional) opinion of GGG that players never use any addons, whatsoever. To put it mildly, they come across as old-timey romanticists waxing nostalgic over how games played in the 1990s when the interfaces were opaque and obtuse as can be.

That said, they still have to have a CONSISTENT rule, and it actually doesn't care about the advantage, so much as what it does. There's generally just two big no-nos here:

• Anything that lets the player perform more than one in-game action per input press.
  
  
• Anything that reads and/or alters the Path of Exile process (be it the instruction sequence, or its RAM; this part is actually covered in part 7 of the Terms of Use)

As the closest to interaction LabCompass gets is that it reads an output file (that the client never reads from) it is impossible to alter the game in that way. Functionally, it's equivalent to, say, a screenshot manager.
