Nah... phobias are trippy things. It's not a "over sensitive" thing. His brain literally releases chemicals that are designed for panic responses at inappropriate times. It's purely physical and it can be treated. Get to a doctor.

@OP: all phobias can be successfully cured. You need to see a therapist who specializes in these things. Check with your local doctor(s) and/or psychologists and see what they can recommend. Phobias are absolutely real and it's an illness like any other, and it can definitely be cured. Don't feel ashamed or be frightened. Help is available, you simply need to seek it out. Never discuss mental health issues with anyone other than a qualified therapist. Especially not with random people on the internet. Exactly 100% of those don't have the slightest clue about how any of this works. Yes, I include myself in this.
@pathofsantos: You could try looking into the ReShade modification by Sadeness. Unfortunately the author has not been active on these forums for a long time, I don't know if you can track them down somewhere else. More recently, Priory has used the mod to create a colorblind mode modification. If anyone can help you, it would be one of these people. Finally, if (and hopefully when) you find a solution, contact GGG support directly at support@grindinggear.com before you actually use the mod. Modifying the game client in any way is against the Terms of Use; however GGG have given explicit permission for a couple of cases in the past (such as the colorblind mode above). End of the story :
I contact GGG support and they answer really quickly, unfortunately "players are not allowed to modify game files/client in any way." and they can't help me more (what i understand perfectly). So i will probably create characters again and again until i deal with my phobia (and i know i have to see a doctor, what i have already made but as i said earlier "My phobia is not a real problem in my life", i see space like 5 times in a year (except poe) so it's not a priority at all). no no no scratch that, I remember a video of ziggyd where he plastered his face on the lightning ground effect back when it was really hard on the eyes, he's not banned last time I checked.

What You presented is old thinking that we are only matter and thats just it. But we are not and more and more data is coming about it. But old thinking takes time to change. Also we really dont know what is causing mental issues and "medicating" is just sedating on different levels not trully healing. |
