Help ! I have the fear/phobia of the space.

Hi everyone,
Since I'm a kid i have the phobia of abyss and space. Big empty spaces make me really uncomfortable, and i can even make crisis of panic when i see movies of abyss/space (So yes i never seen movies like Intestellar or 2001)

My phobia is my phobia, and nobody cares i understand. But in POE after 10 acts start the altas endgame.
AND i can't. I just can't play further this point. When Shaper comes in and destroy fragments of maps so we see space i start panic. I even altf4 during a poe video vs Shaper Boss.

So i was wondering if someone can help me. Can i have a "white" skin of maps ? (exemple! the floor is white instead of being the space) I love this game but i never see more than lvl 80. And everybody say that "the endgame is the real game" so i feel bad when i know i miss the real game.

Please help me if it's possible, this community is awesome and i pray for someone to help me !

this reminds me of the Spiders to Bears mod in Skyrim, to help people with arachnophobia :P

I think you might have a problem with this game, as unluckily it's not that moddable like some other titles.

I wish you good luck, have you tried to contact the developers?

But seriously, sorry about your phobia. Probably need a shrink that uses virtual reality to overcome phobias, like fear of heights.

I didn't contact the developers in case the community have a solution, i think i will try but i don't know how (did i concact the support directly ?)

Thanks you for your kindness but phobia is really hard to cure, and mine is not a problem in real life so i don't really try to cure it ^^

But dude that is not space, it's only pixels. Fiddle with your monitor/game settings to make it look less spacey and you're OK

btw, the obvious solution would be to edit the space background file, and past some
other image in it.
the problem is all game files are i think inside the 12gb Content.ggpk archive inside the game folder.


if you would manage to open it, and edit the space background file (which i got the slight sensation that it would be against the Eula), i think the packcheck would still find a different hash and consider it corrupt.

so the best solution would be a MOD override, which wouldn't invalidate the original files.

Sadly my competence in modding PoE is very low, and you would need some serious modders, or some hint to mod the game yourself given by the developers, considering your issues.

Yeah maby i will sound like and ahole but i think OP is just oversensitive. Its just my opinion tho.
