As we are talking about RoA, here is Mathil talking about his dmg in path of building with rain of arrows;

The damage seemed absurd, so I checked the pob link.
The build is level 100, using 4 offensive flasks, double hatred mod watcher's eye and a Lioneye's fall gem. Using a level 92 character without the shock, frenzy charges, power charges, blasphemy curse and vaal haste, the build deals a moderate 237k dps with rain of arrows and 514k dps with the vaal version (Which is fine, considering still has more damage than the mathil build. Pob dps calculation for rain of arrows is kinda weird.) That sounds great, but when you take into consideration all of this is using an expensive bow, five 4mods jewells, point blank at melee range and barely reaching the 5k life... I am playing vaal roa as windripper-mf-build with qotf for quite some time at league now. The skill got a lot of potential, no question about that. I was able to kill t15 (normal-) elder on my own with a full mediocre mf-setup, when i was using soul ripper. Sold the flask though, because farming bosses wasn't really paying off anyways.
You got some pretty weird decisions for a build to do all content, like using loreweave instead of kaoms. One of the cool things with vaal roa is that you only need one sixlink. Endless munitions is imho the most powerful asc-node for roa (pretty hard to get iaoe on the right side of the tree, getting 50% there is huge), i'd take far shot and endless munitions instead of point blank any day. Common rare opals should be a decent upgrade over your current setup as well. Cyclopean Coil could be great for getting some immunity. I'd say you can easily gain like 2k or more life without losing a lot of or any dps, while gaining some immunity and a lot of aoe as well. This should help a lot for clearing all content. I'll give the skill a serious shot after league on std-gear, but phys-conv-based. Pretty sure it will be quite powerful and able to clear all content. | |

" This should still be very viable but remember its very costy if you want the same DPS that I had. It can be cheap as well and will update with information regarding a more mediocre setup of skills/gear in a bit. |
