I've updated the Passive Tree for the standard Wand + Shield build. The changes should improve spectre survivability at a small cost to dps. The main change is on the left side of the tree. I suggest dropping the path to Righteous Army and instead pathing to Sacrifice and Spiritual Command. This give SDs regen, resist and more life.

Overall, I really like the build and actually prefer it over the Wand + Shield build. Do note that it is significantly more expensive than the standard build! SDs are still at 1mil+ shaper DPS, but gain a large amount of aoe from Greater Spell Echo. I'm using a 6L body armour to run AG + Chaos Golem + Zombies as meatshields. It does move slower due to not having Phase Run and frenzy charges.

That Aul's Uprising Amulet with Haste is like 25ex!!! wth...............

Not quite sure if I'm missing a trick.

I just put together this build after re-specing my cursebot. I don't have access to high-level mine area at the moment. So I summoned the mobs on a T16 map. I seem to find that they run into packs and just get flat lined. I must definitely have set something up wrong.

Can anyone advise?

Also should I be levelling up a added lightning damage over a added fire damage?

So basically with EE: if you hit with fire damage, enemy monsters will get +25% fire res & -50% cold/lightning res.

Your minion hits do not proc EE, so they will benefit from the -50% lightning res.

Remember to check the tooltip to make sure you are not doing any lightning damage.

also I am reading your recent replies in the guide and about the animate guardian you said - fire resist is from previous league. I wasn't thinking enough so I just followed the animate guardian as it is so you saying it's better to get a - lightning helm?

also can you share your idea on the shield?

vic shield that provides frenzy/power charge vs rare crafted shield with cdwt?

I'm currently using rare crafted shield and was wondering if vic shield is better due to the frenzy/power charge.

Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous. I guess it's because every build can make use of Haste Aul's.

If you can get a big DEX stat on your gloves or rings, definitely go for Zealotry or Wrath Aul's instead. They cost around 13ex. I was able to get my Haste Aul for 14ex and because it has DEX, I don't need to re-gear my other equipment!

That's right. You want to use metallic fossils on the helmet. Don't buy it. The fossil costs half a chaos and people are selling -9% lightning helmets for 40c.

Simply, it's a choice between DPS and survivability.

Vic's gives frenzy + power charges. This is a significant boost to damage.

Rare crafted Elder DEX shield can give %dodge, CWDT, life, %life regen, etc.

You could even spec into block (instead of dodge) and use STR shield that gives life gain on block. You would also drop Puppet Master and use Mistress + Bone Offering.


I would say 1mil shaper DPS per spec is your gold standard. If you can maintain that while also build more defenses, do it. Just keep in mind that as DPS decreases and TTK increases, PoE becomes exponentially dangerous due to one-shot mechanics.

For now, once you have finished getting Phase Acrobatics, focus on the top left of the tree:
