So I was thinking about how to make coward's legacy work.

As the title suggests I was thinking about how to make https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Coward%27s_Legacy work, and i've got some questions about how some things effect this, first of all does the curse effect of coward's legacy count as my own curse and would it be as such affected by https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Doedre%27s_Skin.

Because I could bump the effect of the vuln. curse down to just 12% if I wear 2 https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Kikazaru, get the Scion Guardian ascendency for 25% reduced curse effect and a max. negative roll on doedre's skin at 33%.

I would gain the benefit of being able to always use panicked life flasks, I could use https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Dreadbeak, https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Rise_of_the_Phoenix and the pain uttunement keystone at all times and while it does reduce my damage https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Starkonja%27s_Head would be an excellent defence.

So my questions would be first does doedre's skin work the way i think it should in this case and also wether or not effects that say "increased effect of your curses" would also apply to it like that.

Effects that you suffer from items are almost never affected by your own offensive stats. I can't say for certain that this is the case for Coward's Legacy, but I would be very surprised if it was any different.

You will most likely end up with only 45% effect of curses on you (i.e. 55% reduced).
People have been using Coward's Legacy with Arc totems w/ Atziri's Reflection and Self flag jewels.

Damage of that build is disgusting and def better then normal arc totems, but Atziri's Reflection is expensive af
Reflection shield, unaffected by vuln when running determination watchers eye or lower the curse effectiveness and stack some phys reduction.

You can get reduced phys % so high that the vuln doesn't really matter on a Jugg, i made my friend an incinerate tree early in the league and he is doing pretty solid with it hasn't ripped yet anyway!
I realized I have both items on me (well, the non-upgraded version of the belt), so I did some testing.

I got myself a Heartbound Loop, which consistently hits me for 350 physical damage. I used no gear with any armor or other physical mitigation.

Cursed by a level 10 Vulnerability, I would expect to take 350 * 1.34 = 469 damage.
This is indeed the case while wearing only Coward's Chains.

If the 25% reduced effect of my curses from Doedre's Skin was applied, the increased damage taken from Vulnerability should be 26%, resulting in 441 damage taken.
However, wearing both Coward's and Doedre's, I still take exactly 469 damage upon triggering Heartbound Loop.

Conclusion: your own curse effect modifiers do not affect the Vulnerability from Coward's Chains/Legacy.

One way to build around it is permanent immortal call.
Thank you for the answers i of course knew about atziris reflection but since its so hard to obtain i was trying to find a way around it, sad i was kinda hoping that would work.
You could get an 'unaffected by Vulnerability' Watcher's Eye.
Of course, that would require you use Determination which... could be troublesome.
