Woah man, Shaper is HARD!

Shaper isn't particularly hard once you learn the fight, and at least one of the Guardians is substantially harder in every way.

The biggest problem with Shaper is having to play on lockstep to deal with random stunlocks he can do.

i tried him 2 times,last league and now this one. i would keep trying until i get it but the 60-70c for a shaper set is not worth it too me. i might try 1 more time this league,we'll see

This it's all practice. I gotten where I can kill him with nearly anything and failed first 6 times with very OP builds. You need DPS though in order not to be overwhlemed by ground effects/ads and compounding mistakes.

This thread made me smile. It's really refreshing to read your experiences. So often people overplay how "easy" it all is (with the BS that often goes with it), and I clam up with that. I've tried him once (on a spectre summoner about oh geez before abyss or harby?), got super close, and didn't make it. Wasted two portals with being nervous/ stupid shit. I hope to do it this league with my lightning witch and get the achievement.

Great post, congrats for getting to Shaper. I still have never fought him, my builds tend to start showing their weakness as I get into red maps, and then I re-roll. One of these days, though...

@OP I had almost the exact same experience last league :D

I knew that I had to stay on top of controlling the locations of the voids, but there was so much going on that I forgot and before I knew it I had no place to stand. That was at a point last league where I was a little burned out so I never went back and tried again.

I think that at some point this league I will try again.
