Need Guidance - Noob Finds Mirror of Kalandra in Incursion SC

Dear community,

I am really new to this game. I started playing for the first time when bestiary was close to end (i downloaded the game earlier but only played until lvl 28 with a templar and stopped - went back to d3).

For some reason, a mirror of kalandra dropped in a Pen Map last night as i was playing. I really have very few hours played this season. Only one char lvl 84.

Before coming here I have read some threads saying that I should not sell because there are many scammers out there that they will fool me with fraudulent threads of fake sales of items.

I have it now on sale for 104 ex's but I am not sure if that is a good price or if it is a terrible idea to sell it generally.

What should I do? I really dont want to keep it because i want this lucky find to fund all my silly builds to come in this league. I prefer some ex's now to build a new char and/or fund this Molten Strike slow idiot that i m running now.

Only sell it if you intend to flip the profit, or to heavily boost a character for whatever reasons.
Otherwise keep it as a trophy.
What do you need the exalts for?

Poe.currency or ggg trade -> bulk item exchange will help you.

You either want to sell it in the league to have currency now or keep it for standard for better prices, or keep it yourself for good memories. Btw you don't need mirrors to play most builds, just your own skills and some farming/trading.

Man, the whole currency that i have in this league is 47 chaos orbs. All the items i have on my only char were bought for less than 20 chaos (check them for yourself).

I cannot afford to have such an expensive trophy.

I do not know what I will use it for. I haven't played much of any character. I want to try builds, I have only played juggernaut, slayer and necromancer (plus few hours of raider). I want to see this game because i think i like it. And it seems i found the most valuable item in the game on the only time i played this week. I am so noob that i was not even impressed when i saw it. Only the sound of the finding filter and the white/rose frame made me understand it was kind of a big deal.

I am the classic Mc Donalds burger flipper who won the lottery and is afraid that if I buy a Lambo immediately i ll go bankrupt soon!

Hard choices.

1) Pimp out the build you are currently playing.

2) Pick a new build and buy the stuff you need to make it shine.

3) Keep playing and keep it as a trophy.

As a single drop, it's pretty valuable, but it's hardly the most valuable item in the game. There's some rares that are worth multiple mirrors, if not 100s of them.

Wow! You are a lucky son of a bitch. Now ride your luck wave and buy lottery tickets. But what the hell did you do to get RNGesus to reward you with a mirror?  :)

The obvious thing to do with a mirror is sell it for 100s of exalts... err... let me check... currency.poe.trade is listing (as of 6/21/18 at 8:55 am EST) around a 100 exalts = 1 mirror value. I would have thought it would be higher than that.

Edit: As a self-proclaimed noob you want to take time to play enough different builds to get a better feel for what play style is the most "fun to play" for you. So don't let anyone con you into using it for it's function. Don't let anyone tell you they have the perfect mirror worthy item that they will mirror for you. That player may be 100% trustworthy and on the up and up and have a high T1 "mirror worthy" item but there are also tons of low life players who will try to cheat you out of it too. And as a new player you just don't have enough hours played yet to know what skill is most enjoyable and therefore selling the mirror and stashing the exalts for later use is your best choice for now.

Of course you can. League will be over, your exalts will rot in standard, but mirror will be gone.
Drop chance is 1: millions (probably tens). You are likely to never have such a drop even in tens of thousands of play time, and you said you are casual. Just keep the trophy, man.

Even if you stop playing at all, you can always log in for a minute, take a look at it with a warm smile, and close the client.
You can even wave it around the forum if you wish, to piss fuckers off. Because why not? Everyone got exalts, a few own a mirror.

If you are about your current progression in the league - just farm some more chaoses and/or sell this and that mediocre drop, and your character is set.

No just kidding, i suggest you to sell it and and go wreck the Content with that currency, buy a Headhunter, buy some fun prophecies, run expensive Maps, do what ever you like and you will still have About 50ex leftover for your gear xd.

He is totally right, listen to this guy. Resist the urge to sell it. Most likely you will never find item like this again so keep it as a reminder to what a lucky bastard you are and to just make you smile in a bad moment. Resist the urge man, you can afford to buy items for most of the builds by selling medicore stuff, its really not that hard in the long run, even if u get shitty drops in general.

100% keep it as a trophy. I would love to have one just to occupy that dam one open slot in my Currency tab.
