Am i too weak?

Im a level 47 shadow and am currently at the end of act 5 but i feel like my character is weak.
my health is 1,503 and my energy shield is 97

Load out:

it is mainly because you dont seem to have any skill properly linked. you should have 4-link already, main skill with three damage support gems. It should be Sunder probably or any other skill that uses only main hand/mace (because your second weapon is trash).

1500 life is fine for act 5. although your resists seem to be low which could be a problem on defense side.

I cant see your tree so cant tell if there is any problem there. Also not sure if you completed the Labyrinth yet. Some good powers can be gained there

First of all, look to have items that fit for your level. Wearing a level4 amulet is not the best. While getting higher and progress in quest story mode, you will have two moments when it means your rsistance gets a minus. I guess it is after act4 and act8 both times you have to increase your resistances to get back to the cap of 75%. This is really important and gets more important the higher your level gets. Each resistance needs 75%, only chaos is extra to get some resis too for it.
Also life is the needed stat at nearly each of the items in slots.
Because it does not make you a big lifer just by picking up the nodes in passive tree to have 200% as long there is not a lot of life at the items so it can be multiplied with the nodes.

With nearly level50 you should have 3 links. And it started to plan your build, maybe even before it was time. So best is to look at a guide for the skills you are using. There are some basic things, I guess you know, but in case of not, let me tell a little.
From level 38 on, there must be a cast when damage taken setup like cwdt-immortal call-enfeeble and increase duration or phase run. Take care about the levels of cwdt so it can work, it is told at the item about to what level skills could be triggered and how much damage it needs to take, before it proccs.
Also there is a curse setup to have. Like blasphemy and a curse or told above by cwdt setup. There is also possible to have an herald of thunder or ice with curse on hit and a curse to have a curse setup. Further there are auras that will boost your defense or offense mechanic. Next is there are flasks to use with big benefit to the player when used.


Maybe you need more nowledge about the game, so there are real good videos at the forum and YT. Use it, it helps. And do not give up, PoE is no easy game, but it is a great game.

Last words, go in forum account and make your characters public to let us see your heros and what he uses or wears.

Early on linked skills tend to be more valuable than stats on the gear.

Like mentioned above me, setting up your skills should be your priority, meaning having at least your core attack skills linked.
