Doomfletch with the new Elemental Hit
1. How do they work when combined? Who decides which element is chosen?
2. Also, "Gain 100% of weapon physical damage as extra damage of an element". Can I increase the damage of the chosen element done with Elemental Hit skill via other items, like rings with added phys damage, or global phys damage belt? Would this mean "x% increased physical damage with bows" passive nodes would in turn also help increase Elemental Hit damage? Even skill itself says "Each attack with this skill will choose an element at random, and will only be able to deal damage of that element...", so you basically loosing two other elements damage from doomfletch with each hit. The only way around this loss I see is avatar of fire combined with 2 appropriate skill jewels.
Doomfletch is usually scaled with added flat phys damage from equipment and jewels and also with different sources of % increased phys, elemental, attack and projectile damage. Oh btw elemental hit adds flat elemental damage on top of doomfletch damage, so phys damage scaling will be less effective, but damage limitation to the element chosen by the skill should be in effect. If it's at random then it is obvious that RNGesus will be deciding which element is chosen. Since I'm agnostic that is why I don't use it (don't believe in a single entity of immense power). That and the fact that of the 5 I have in my standard league stash, all are < 5L and I have an aversion to spending 150 fusings to 5L a level 28 bow with so many higher power bows that are sitting there waiting for me to 5 or 6 link.
