Watcher's Eye Drop Rate -- Official Drop Chance?

Hi guys,

I am wondering if there is any official/tangible information out there -- either from dedicated data miners or PoE staff themselves -- regarding the drop chance of the Watcher's Eye jewels from Yellow / Red Elder. In BSC, I got 1 jewel from approximately 20 elders -- most of which were red -- and the Shaper survived every time. I just want to know if there is any actual information on the drop rate of the jewel so I can plan my atlas strategy for Incursion.

As an aside, I would also love to know more regarding the following inquiries:

1) Is the drop chance of Watcher's Eye different in any way between Yellow and Red Elders?

2) I know that Shaper needs to survive to be able to get the drop as of 3.2. Does the player, however, have to survive the fight without dying to get the drop? I only ask because of the ~20 elders I ran, I did die during some of them in the final phase after Shaper survives, and I wonder if this impacted my drops in some way.

i had uber service and i seen him like 1/5 of the time

for example in something like 300 uber elder kills i seen elderstarforge only 4 times...

mby its just my shiity luck but many other players said its something like 20/25% for drop from uber elder

Can anyone else corroborate the 20/25% chance estimation? Cause if that is the case then my RNG has been reeeeaaaaaaal bad from a Watcher's Eye perspective.

No idea about uber elder's 3-mod eye, but my red elder 2-mod watcher's eye droprate [when shaper survived] was like 50% among a couple dozen kills.

You are incredible lucky then. I killed 10 elders and nothing.

I think it's closer to 1/10 for Red Elder.
