is it possible to make a 3-link ring with string of servitude + unset ring?

Implicit Modifier magnitudes are tripled: This modifier applies only to String of Servitude; it does not affect the implicit modifiers of other equipped items. The displayed magnitude of the implicit on String of Servitude is already tripled.

So, no. It might be possible to make a 3S String of Servitude, though, if you had an implicit granting 1 socket on the belt, like stygian vise has. (Who knows what they might implement with the new corruption options!)

Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:
