What does that mean? It doesn't even deal with what the post is about. I've added some additional details to make things clearer. Hope that helps.

Pretty sure that was in response to the post above which was this:

has cold ever been as powerful as the most powerful fire and lightning peaks?

And to post my response to this, I'm not sure cold is supposed to have the upper end damage capability of fire simply because cold brings a defensive component to it that makes the lower damage still worth it.
Thanks for all the fish!
Problem with cold is that its catch is freezing which, to my knowledge is not affecting big bosses.

That is a pretty big setback compared to the shock or soon to be buffed ignite, but there are incredibly powerful ice skills that are part of the current meta whereas fire skills, not so much. I'm saying that fire needed the signature ailment buff.

Lightning scales best and got % more dmg, cold got built-in temp chain(chill is working even on bossess).

The thing about cold is that it's easy to penetrate cold res on right side of tree... So it's natural choice to go with crit. Another benefit.

Fire needs special treatment, ignite is bad as hell as I said before. Converting is other option, but nowadays elemental damage is fine enough. (You can convert fire ONLY and ONLY to chaos)

Problem is... SC and RF are shining because of many burning modifiers, as they 100% burning damage.
