"Abaxoth, the End of All That Is" dropped me 4 rares

I was playing SSF Flash Back, was in t6 Thicket with whatever mods including Beyond and all the other shits. The density was insane and there were like 3 yellow beasts around as well. Popped a pack and triggered beyond, Abaxoth appeared, cast 1,562 flame blast rings and ripped me. I spent another 3 portals running at him because you know, I had to do it. After a good 3 minutes fight of constant running and dealing shitty dps I finally killed him, the loot filter did its job and hid the unworthy drops. I thought something was wrong, the screen was wide empty, pressed Alt and it literally showed 4 rares dropped from the Beyond boss itself.

Yo, I'm not asking for mirror or something, but it dropped way less than the yellow beasts and it's the freaking final boss of the beyond realm, come on! The design and the fight itself was really fun, adrenaline and all but then the loot? it was as much as Vagan would drop in a daily mission, except for the occasional "the world eater" drop (as if we all gonna get Starforge that way).

All I'm saying, make the loot somewhat as interesting as the fight, I feel like Beyond monsters are pretty outdated with their loots, they give good density and exp but mostly the loots arent that good.

yeah, Abaxoth has always been "legendary" in the risk/reward department.

careful now. Once you start asking for more (read: appropriate) loot, forum dwellers tend to scream "YOU JUST WANT MIRRORS TO RAIN FROM THE SKY!!!". It's all black/white to them.

On topic, however, I do agree with you; Beyond is somewhat lackluster when it comes to loot. But then again, Beyond IS good for XP, so asking for both might be asking for too much? People don't run Beyond for the loot. And double Beyond might be a little bit on the piñata side if the loot got better.

There is no risk/reward when it comes to difficulty in PoE, because at some point, you can roflstomp everything. There's only risk/reward when it comes to the economy; "can I afford to run this Shaper set, do I gamble for a Starforge?".

But getting four rares from a Beyond unique is far better than running 10 consecutive T15 maps, where NOTHING gets passed your loot filter when downing the map bosses.

Got no single rare from T15 Enslaver today. No currency. Simply nothing. Bosses are super underwhelming in this game in terms of loot and experience.

I killed Abaxoth in a T8 Map and he dropped an Alch.
And I was happy with that because the fight was so easy.

4 rares must be a record for old dropless.

Killed him for the first time since i started playing a few days ago in T16 ssf beastleage and he dropped pretty much nothing. Was fun to finally kill him though.
