What is a meme build ?

I have heard that therm a lot of time on these forums but I have no idea what it's mean.

People like using the word 'meme' for everything. It just means joke builds - ones that aren't serious about maxing dps and instead make weird passive or gear choices for fun. Like if you went EB+CI, that would be a meme build. Or if you took Elementalist or Berserker as an ascendancy choice.
