This is decent and it works as a work-around, but we really need a way to change our cursor color and maybe its size. Or another simple solution would be to make the cursor inverted colors.
I have been bringing this up since Sept 2011 and we haven't seen any movement on it yet so I wouldn't hold your breath.
I often play on 5760/1080 so losing the cursor is a big problem.
I think it has something to do with lagging the game, being the reason they didn't implement a better cursor so far. I've read somewhere, a while back, that that was the reason they changed the cursor's behaviour.
