Farrul????????????

"Later today, we're deploying a change that greatly increased the rate that you encounter the four Legendary Beasts that grant access to the Spirit Beast fights. "
Still laughing about your Joke, still no Farrul. Running hundrets of T13+ Maps, not a single fckng Tiger. Great Job gating major league content behind walls of rng. ggg learned nothing about lichs, doing the same bs over and over again.... Last bumped on Apr 24, 2018, 1:01:16 PM

They'll do the same thing next league, and the league after. Frustrating but still better than trivial access to all content within 20hrs playtime so you are bored within a week max (nameless other arpg on the market).

they did greatly increase it, that just tells you how bad the odds were when they started ;)

I don't get why the keep freaking doing this when the league may as well be over
Funnily for me when they increased the spawn rate of abyssal depths in Abyss league, I never saw another abyssal depths until two weeks into this league. Still can't find a cartographer's strongbox but that's a different complaint. I mean I understand wanting to hide legendary things behind a rarity gate, it makes them special. They wouldn't be special if you could get them in 10-100 T13 maps. But wasn't that the reasoning behind the 100-splinters required to make a breachstone? Even if it took you 12 hours to get it by doing breaches, people would rather do that than be told you will get a breachstone randomly every 12 hours. That's because it feels like you're making progress somewhere. Running 200 T13's and finding nothing feels like doing nothing. I miss breach... |

" Even Breach wasn't immune to this crap. True, Breachstones were great in allowing incrimental progress towards a goal, and even Chayula breaches weren't so rare that it felt like a total RNG wall to build a chayula stone.... but one of the challenges IIRC was to get a Chayula in a Breach (not from inside a breach stone), and that was pretty much a complete ultra-rare rng fiesta. |
|
" the breach build-toward-rng logic falls down a bit because even if you farm 100 chalupa splinters and then make it through the serious dps check breach map it's still rng if he drops a unique or blessing (id a chalupa unique was one of the challenges if you remember). edit: ^ golddragon pointed out another huge rng fest from breach. Bottom line is this is how GGG gate content to keep you playing and they aren't likely to stop. Last edited by ladish#6213 on Apr 20, 2018, 7:49:24 PM

I think GGG learned their lesson this league. They will probably never have a single point of failure decide whether you can challenge a league boss again.
It puts the players too much at the mercy of a 1/100 or 1/1000 RNGfest. Look forward to Breach-like splinters in the future. |

" Yea but that brings into the question of the reward for the hardcore of the hardcore, which this game doesn't flip the middle finger to like so many others have. If you play 16 hours a day every day with friends who do the same and you share your events you'll probably get that kind of RNG, everybody else has enough challenges to pull from for whatever reward they want. I'm sure GGG also defends it by being able to trade for it, which is a big help. So many worse off games account bind or don't let you trade rare as crap items whatsoever, which is boring |

GGG needs to increase rarity on league mechanics, expecially something so core to the league like the bosses. It would be better to make the loot rarer than the league mechanics.

Found him on my 1st T13 map in this league (Desert Springs). That's rng for you.
On the other hand, no Fenumus for me yet. |
