How to be immune to physical hits

That doesn't mean you will be more vulnerable to cold damage though.

Hierophant 25% chance to gain endurance charges on gaining power charges.

With total 5 endurance charges in the build to get 3 seconds.

Voll Protector + CoC + Immortal Call.

Finally equip Cospris or Poets so DPS wont suck.

Is it good or bad for your build it depends but the math is correct here.

Yes but you are expected to have capped resists anyway so 120 vs 100 is more like 30 vs 25.

Converting phys to cold does NOT make you more vulnerable to cold. If you take 100 cold damage (after resist) it will still be 100 cold damage. What makes you more vulnerable to cold is cold penetration or resistance malus.

Converting phys to cold does only ONE thing: you'll be inflicted cold damage instead of physical. That's all. And that allows you to mitigate physical damage with your cold resistance.

The point is that it is better to convert when your phys mitigation will mitigate less than 75%, or well it is always better to sponge whatever possible into the 75% ele resists if you don't have a trade in doing so

Let's make a scenario with a low 25% mitigation and 75% resist

100 pure phys -> 75 received damage
100 phys with 40 conversion -> 45 phys + 10 cold = 55 received damage

75/55 -> 36% difference

It is more complicated ingame but this example shows that the logic is that you take less combined damage

it doenst matter how much "cold dmg" you take..... but yeah in your exmaple you are right... BUT


with the exmample of one hit woth 100 phy + 100 cold dmg ( and 75 res ) and 20% phy -> cold

you only take 80 phy + 30 cold dmg... without the convert is 100 phy + 25 cold

so 110 vs 125 in total dmg
