Any way to get free points?
I'm really tired of only 4 stash tabs, but buying stash tab pack is literally half of my monthly budget for food, I'm not kidding.
Is there any way to get points without paying? Like trading something or just registering somewhere or... Something? I'm just SO tired of 4 tabs, I spent an hour yesterday sorting my stuff, and another half hour today after playing just for a few hours afterwards. It's SO frustrating and time-wasting!! I found a site where you do one of those offers and get free points, but it looks scammy (even though they don't ask for your password), so I'm afraid to get my account banned because I fear it isn't legit (even though you do advertising offers for them to get the points). I really love the game and I don't want to just stop playing it because I start feeling too frustrated (I don't want to feel that way, and that's what happened the last time I quit the game for months), and I honestly cannot afford to buy points, I need food first. Gaming just helps me feel better and escape my depression and other problems that I cannot fix for awhile. Last bumped on Apr 15, 2018, 2:42:11 PM

As far as I know, there is no way to get free points. Sometimes they have events that can reward you with certain mtxes. You posted on an account that doesn't have your characters or achievements so I don't know how long you've been playing or how far you've gotten, so I can't guess if you'd realistically have a chance at winning any of them. But most times when they do that they also have random prize drawings too just for participating. I think they have had stash tabs as prizes before.

" Ah, I just created a new account, since I don't want to login to external sites with my Steam account. However you asking this question means that I wouldn't be able to win them. Firstly, my internet right now... My gaming is stuttering constantly, during the day I get disconnected a lot since people are using the wifi and I even have half the traffic cut for me, but they use the whole bandwidth, which makes it even worse. So because of that, I can only play in normal league because I die a lot when it lags out for a few seconds or even longer sometimes... Which is a very frustrating experience in itself. Not to mention 20-40FPS on lowest settings on my current PC - my previous one was stolen by a break-in. My masters are at level 4, that should tell you everything. :) I'm afraid that I'll just stop playing after I complete the updated storyline, which is why I am looking for a way to get stash tabs before I complete it, so that I wouldn't get totally frustrated (I mean, half my inventory is full with stuff I don't have a place to store!) and keep playing, so that I would have a nice escape each day and don't have to feel all the feels I haven't been able to get rid of for over a decade. Is it possible to trade for them? I have some orbs and low-level unique items, but I really don't know the prices because I always found trading to be too tedious - making sure people are not lowballing you, spending literally hours trying to figure out if the item is worth anything, what is it worth right now, and all of those things. I'm a stickler for details and a packrat, so I just can't allow myself to skip those steps even if I know they aren't productive or enjoyable at all. Basically my gaming experience is horrible but this is the best I can do right now without pirating single-player games (I am against piracy), and that basically means instead of laying in bed half the day feeling bad. So I'm looking for a way to not lose that also. I quite POH for a long time because I just couldn't deal with always not having any inventory space, but back then the game was running on solid 60FPS and no lags of any kind except for when the servers were overloaded. |

" There is no way to get those points for free within the game. I'm not aware of any mechanism for obtaining non-steam payment sources for "free". I do understand that you can obtain items in various games that you can sell on Steam, which fund your "steam wallet", the same source that is used to purchase points in PoE if you install via Steam. I'd also note that stash tabs go on sale every three weeks, pretty much like clockwork, so you should wait to purchase them at a discount. That said, the price is still unreasonably high given your indicated budget; I'm sorry this is so awkward for you given that constraint. |

" I have a euro or so in my wallet still. I used to get freebies and play other Steam games that give items, but now those games don't even run on my PC, and since the theft - I feel quite worse mentally because I cannot use the PC efficiently - it is rather slow as you can imagine. I'm even surprised I found the will to get back into POH, which is why I am feeling so attached to the idea of not losing interest in it. I'd be thankful for any tips on steam wallet since it's impossible to get points for free or trade orbs or uniques for them. |

Usually there's also a community contest of some kind once per league - right now you can participate in the T-Shirt design competition.

Just checking - is your food budget US$10 per week?
If that really is the case, I can see why you can't afford stash tabs. I hope your situation improves; I'm surprised you can even afford enough food to continue to exist. A couple of other points to note: -You can use mule accounts to store more items. Do you have another computer that can run PoE so you can trade between accounts? Or can you run two copies (even if slowly) of PoE, so you can trade with yourself? -Except for currency tab and map tab, none of the other tabs really save you from having to sort things. They just postpone the inevitable. Everyone stores useless trash they don't need. 4 tabs is enough if you know how to cull items, and even 100 tabs is not enough if you are a hoarder. Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/657756 Last edited by dudiobugtron#4663 on Apr 13, 2018, 6:42:11 PM

" Unfortunately I am not artistically inclined, so community contests never was something I could do. :/ " That's correct, sometimes it's a bit more if I feel super hungry, and thank you for the good wishes. I am able to exist because I make smart shopping decisions, but to be honest, I am surprised too sometimes. :) No, I do not have another computer to run POE on. This is an old computer I'm using after the previous one was stolen and it barely runs this one alone on minimum settings. Without shutting down browser and most other apps, it crashes due to lack of memory. I used to do that on that computer, but in the end it got too frustrating because I spent hours sorting stuff every couple of days due to the needed logins and character switching. But that's another story because now I barely have enough memory to run even one client. I understand that, but I store things for "in case I wanna play duelist" for example. Which I do actually play because I like variety, which means that I have to have equipment for all the characters and all the possibilities for characters. I understand this might sound stupid, but as I mentioned, I cannot shake this. A few extra tabs would help with that significantly. And the cards, potions, currencies, rings and amulets take a lot of space too. |

Well, desperate times call for desperate measures.
A variant of dudiobugtron idea: You can create a couple of chars, in the same account, to use their own invetory space to store your itens. And you will not need to change account or to log in two computers to acess them. Only change the char and trade between them and the stash. And I believe that most items are not used frequently, but only saved for when and if they are needed (Like your possible future duelist build). Its the ideal? No, but solutions for free hardly are. We work with what we have. |

" I am already doing this, this is the first thing I did because it's an obvious first measure to take. :P |
