"Tiger Prey" beast mod is ridiculous
![]() As you see, map damage mods aren't even that scary. What does "Tiger Prey" do? -The beast spawns tiny hard to see untargetable rabbits, -Those rabbits rush at you from 2 screens away range with super high speed, -The rabbits are autoaiming at you, you can't outrun them, you can't dodge them, -After ~0.5 sec delay they explode, I have almost 7k life and they 1-shot me, -The beast's cooldown on summoning new rabbits is like 1 second, maybe less, -The only way to survive them is to be constantly on the move, if you stop to just for a moment to use a skill, you die. I wasted 3 portals on that beast, eventually stopped trying to dodge rabbits, rushed at the beast and kamikazed myself to kill it in that 0.5 sec window. Last bumped on Apr 9, 2018, 3:10:43 AM

Does that say 23% increased monster damage, and 97% extra damage as cold in the map mods? And the Rare beast has extra phys damage and extra fire damage too. It's not really the bunnies, it's mostly the mods.

i didint notice any problems with that mod in maps with high dmg mods.
the picture you are showing doesnt tell us much, we cant see how much life exacly had when you got hit (could have been more than 1 hit over a very short time) you have in total,if your resis are caped, you have 2 increased dmg mods + power charge (so it was likely a crit) paired with even more extra dmg mods on the monster. i´m not saying you are a bad palyer,but i find your screenshot kinda confusing. the fact that you have a "default atttack" equiped seems very odd to me,there is absolutly no reason to ever equip that one since when you are out of mana you automaticly use a default attack on any attackskill. you have 2 empty slots w and t as well which is never the case for me as well. i´m not saying i use all lots for every fight but i normaly have buffs/auras or things equiped that have a cooldown even when i dont have to use the skills myself just to keep track of it. btw 7k life means nothing if you lake other defenses. |

" Absolutely agree with the other points, but just wanted to mention that it's power charge on hit -- the rabbits only hit you when they explode, so they would not have the power charge when they hit you. " arent the rabbits more like totems? based on your crit chance or the main monsters one? i wouldnt be so sure about the charge not effecting them even though its seems logical for them to not work. but PoE isnt always that logical |

" - I had full HP (over 6.9k), when he hit me. My resists are 75%. - I prefer QWER for using my skills, the right click is just "there", might as well disable it. Sometimes I use it to duel with Vagan. - About empty slots. I always have Q for main skill, W for secondary skill (orb of storms with curse for example) E for movement and R for totem. In this case I'm using Kaom's Heart, Blasphemy for curse and I don't have any more skills for W in my primary weapon setup. But I still use W - for Shield Charge in my weapon swap. I'm Elementalist, so 3-link Shield Charge with 3 Heralds is enough to quickly farm trash mobs. Before you call me a noob for enchanting spiked gloves. Yes, I derped by doing it but it actually turned out pretty good. I prefer that enchant over the damage mod. if you fight a tiger prey you just keep moving so those crabs don't explode on you. they're pretty much visible.
what i find much worse is that they gave those abyss rares the same skill the liches had last league, those exploding balls that insta kill you. i have really problems seeing those things in the effects mess i got with my skill mtx. disabled "more gore" now but it doesn't really help though. i'm at a point of not doing any abysses for the sake of making some xp progress. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

The best way for me to handle them I found to be, that when all of them have spawned (they don't explode before that) stand still and gather them up (1s) then move away. That will trigger them into the explosion cycle (and they don't move during that).
After they all exploded it takes about 5s before the new batch have spawned. repeat! The numbers a aprox but that style works fine for me. |
