Encounter III - Perandus Coffer vs Harbingers

Since it's going to be a while before I get Zana to level 8 to be able to spawn Harbingers, I was wondering if going after Perandus coffers is a more realistic option for completing Encounters III.

What's the relative spawn rate of coffers compared to normal Perandus chests? Is it low enough that I'm better off just waiting for Zana lvl 8 and the guaranteed Harbinger spawns? Or is it something I could grind out in 20-30 maps with the Perandus mod?

I doubt you'll get 10 coffers in 30 maps. I did around 20 and got 4 I believe. Fastest way is to just buy the coffers in trade 820 at 6-8c each. If you want to do it yourself then it's a toss up between Perandus or Harbinger. Though I personally like Perandus/Cardio better. He sold me a Kaom's Heart this league so I have to rep him. =]

I finished the harbingers before seeing a single coffer using fortune favors the bold.

I’d just run FFTB. You’ll spend a bit more to get the harbingers but it doesn’t need Zana 8 and many of the mods do a decent job of increasing your returns and helping you sustain, especially in high red tier maps.

I think it's a gamble either way. I was hoping perandus would be the faster option, but it took me close to 100 maps. I was lucky and he sold me a perandus manor that pretty much made my money back. I've heard that the harbinger shard drops are abysmal, so even after selling 5 of your beachhead portals, you will be lucky to make your money back. I would say just do whichever one you enjoy more.
