Well, I think most people assume when they say that, the person is at least capable of looking at something then copying it. Even if you didn’t learn anything, you still have a character that is able to do the content once your skill/knowledge catch up.

Copying a build when I started helped me way more than figuring it out myself.

What people struggle with is learning the skill tree doesn't make a gigantic difference once you hit maps, it's more a gear battle, and learning what makes gear good is rough when every other game today explicitly tells you "Increases damage by 20%" then you just right click it to equip it and off you go.

He followed the guide exactly. The guide specifically advices to grab Elemental Overload first
and fill out the Scion Lifewheel at the end of the levelling process.

I can´t help you either, because I don´t know your build, but I´ll try.
You have 4K life and you can´t kill Merciless Izaro. That´s fine, others struggle too, but what are you doing to change that ?

Get Enfeeble, get a stibnite flask, get a Decoy Totem. And if all that shit doesn´t help just grab the Endurance charges that you are passing by. Apparently this build can deal with all content in the game once it´s fully up and running. So the fact that you can´t kill Merciless Izaro means that you are missing something. Spec into the Endurance charges as long as Izaro is giving you trouble.
See your life rise above 5k before you attempt him again.

Endurance charges are the easiest and cheapest form of mitigation against Izaro. MOst of his dmg is physical unless he gets buffed by Conduits.

Read about Izaro on the wiki, familiarize yourself with the content you´re trying to do,
check out POELab for the easiest layout, grab the trinkets to make the phases easier if you are
really scared and then just try to do the content.

And the last piece of advice, don´t create your own forum posts where you complain.
You only attract immature people who enjoy trolling you at all costs, even if they will expose themselves as completely clueless on the topic, they want their "Nelson HAHA" moment more than anything else, even though they will embarass themselves in the process. Others are very capable like I_NO but just won´t help you bc they don´t care, even if they could.

Help yourself.

Seek out information on youtube or educate yourself on the wiki. Ask a friendly streamer, seek out the threads in this forum with merit.

Jokes aside, there have been fishy builds in the past that used smoke and mirrors (and out of picture buff bots) to increase stats and dps beyond what is reasonable to attain.

But, site unseen, based on the comments above this, you dun effed it up, dude.

Build defining uniques are vitally important, obviously, it is in the name, however the stats from the remainder of the gear (life, defense, resists) is equally important!

Dude take a chill-pill. It's funny. The guy has level 1 support gems. LEVEL 1 SUPPORT GEMS. in PoB and 4k life and then he says why my damage so shittt. i die all the time. why am i not op! haha.

Common, maybe some other folks took it too seriously, but for me this was on the cake shenanigans with the way he said it, haha.

And had he taken the life nodes and the ascendancy in the opposite direction. aka, unflinching, unbreakable first. He'd have no trouble with Izaro because he'd have the life and endurance to tank hits as you, yourself pointed out.
