Technical Support (Path of Exile 1) - 2 skill gem quests - one skill gem reward. - Forum

After completing the Enemy at the Gate quest, Tarkleigh offered my witch a choice of skill gems. As my witch was using a Freezing Pulse gem she had found earlier (and leveled to 4) I wasn't sure what to pick, so I took the option of choosing later. Before making that choice, my witch completed the Breaking Some Eggs quest, which also lists a skill gem as a reward. When my witch spoke to Tarkleigh he gave the quest completion dialogue and the choice of skill gems appeared again. My witch took Ice Spear as the first choice, but there was no second choice. When I hit "U" and look at the quests, both quests say I was given a skill gem. Is this a bug, or is there only one skill gem reward for both quests? I took 2 screenshots with /debug but not sure how or where to include or upload them if you need them. Follow up - previous possible bug. Just finished the Mercy Mission quest(with same character), and after getting the flask from Nessa, Tarkleigh had the exclamation mark above him and gave me the missing second skill gem choice. If I am not much mistaken, that's no bug: All three quests reward you with a skillgem - even Mercy Mission: you should get a reward both from Nessa and Tarkleigh (flask and gem). If you delayed taking a quest's reward, you'll need to select the quest's respective dialogue-option while talking to the npc in order to claim it (there is no 'second choice', each quest has its own reward-panel). Talk to Tarkleigh again: he should offer you a dialogue option listed as 'Enemy at the Gate - Quest reward', providing you with another skillgem. quest rewards " KrapnoV wrote: Enemy at the Gate ------------------- This quest log is given to you upon meeting Hillock at the end of Twilight Strand ; Defeating him will grant you access to Shore Encampment. Return to the Shore Encampment and talk to Nessa to receive a (difficulty based) unidentified magical flask (Life, Mana or Vial) as well as Tarkleigh for a skill gem as your reward. Breaking some Eggs --------------------- This quest log is given to you upon discovering your first Glyph within one of the three Rhoa Nest (appearing a bright green dot on your map) located within the Mud Flat (entrance located in Terraces -> Mud Flat). Once you have collected all three Glyph proceed to the Strange Glyph Wall which will open up the way for you to progress to the Submerged Passage LvL1.
