About claw weapons.

I recently just got into beta and i been going around the forums and looking and taking opinions on the many builds of the different classes and yet none of them seems to discuss about claw weapons.

So are Claw weapons bad weapons? I never seem to get across a class that builds their class using claw weapons.The closes class i can think of that can use them are Duelist but most duelist use swords.

Claw and dagger bonuses seem to be mostly around the area of the skill tree where the sixth class resides. I mean, you know, people make claw rangers and stuff, but with the sixth class not in the game yet, it's no big surprise that claws generally don't see a lot of use at the moment. There are almost certainly more skills planned for those weapons, too. You'll just have to wait and see what new content comes with further patches.

Another problem with claw weapons is the lack of AoE options. You've got Lightning Strike and Detonate Dead, and Lightning Strike isn't even proper AoE without certain supports. So you either build around those or go for single target.

I suggest a skill gem along the lines of sweep, but only useable by dual wielding claws or daggers. Spin Attack

This is true but most assume (including me) that the 6th class will be rogue based and have traps which will make up for the lack of AOE weapon damage. Its worth noting also that the 6th class area gets alot of spell based passives, so clearly they are going to be part caster/part combat.
