Shield Charge

not sure why i'm not able to shield charge with a wand. nothing in the description on shield charge says i'm not allowed to charge with a 'range weapon'. would be nice if they either fixed the limitation text of the gem or allowed to use the gem with the damage range of the weapon, what ever it is

Shield Charge is a Melee skill. You can't use any Melee skills with ranged weapons.

but why can it not scale damasge off of a wand just the same? just seems rather annoying.

does not answer the question. if you can still shield charge with no weapon equipped, why can you not shield charge with a wand? obviously the damage can be calculated as if it was a melee weapon without shooting a projectile. it's purely a movement skill, and should be treated as thus

no weapon counts as melee, range weapon counts as range weapon.
