Can someone explain to me the Yugul fight?
Wiki isn't really helpful.
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Yugul,_Reflection_of_Terror I can DpS him and his map version and outheal the random damage when I am overgeared, sure. But this is the one fight in the game I have no idea what's going on. I'm getting bombarded by all kinds of nonsense, mirror images or smaller versions of him seem to appear or not. Yugul himself tends to appear and disappear or teleport around whenever he wants, right in the middle of all those different projectiles. I don't know when I am supposed to attack and when I am supposed to run. I don't see any indicators of transition (that a "stage" of the fight starts or ends). Can someone enlighten me? I'd like to "outplay" this encounter, not "outgun" it. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519 Last edited by Peterlerock#5171 on Mar 29, 2018, 3:59:18 AM Last bumped on Mar 29, 2018, 7:56:11 AM

Here's what I have seen from playing it a few time:
- There are cold pools on the ground that cold you, so don't stand in those. - There are two main modes Yugul has. In one mode, he runs around trying to fight you, and some of the pools shoot cold things at you. You can hurt it during this stage. - Once you do enough damage to it, it jumps into the pool, and sends out his reflections to fight you instead. These reflections are easier to kill than Yugul. You can't damage Yugul during this phase since its in a pool somewhere. - After Yugul has relaxed in the pool long enough, he jumps out and starts fighting you again. The pools shoot cold stuff at you again. This is basically the same as the first bit (although he's maybe a bit faster), but if you haven't killed all the reflections yet, this bit seems quite messy. Basically it just swaps between those two phases a few times until you kill all its life. Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/657756 Last edited by dudiobugtron#4663 on Mar 29, 2018, 6:06:10 AM

Its pretty simple, I did it on my first try yesterday.
The pools shoot projectiles/aoe that you need to dodge. You DPS Yugul till he jumps into a pool then spawns copies of himself, at which point you kill the copies and he will appear again so you can DPS him. Rinse and repeat till he dies. |
