Are totem MTX applicable to totem skills granted by equipment?

The title says it all, really.

Skill effects are applied to skill gems. Skills that do not come from gems currently can not have MTX applied to them.

Hmm. I had an mtx applied to spell totems (glacial cascade), then switched to the Soul Mantle. I'm pretty sure the mtx is still in effect. I'll try to confirm tonight.

" This diffinately still works because you still have a gem for the Glacial Cascade, to apply the MTX. However, if you want to alter the appearance of the totem itself and not just the skill it uses, that is sadly impossible with Soul Mantle Totems. So no, if you use Soul Mantle, you cannot make use of your Dragonskin totem MTX unless (maybe?) you are willing to just socket a totem support gem in it anyways (Which would be dumb, and I'm not even 100% sure the totem support will override the built in totem support from the soul mantle anyhow). They need to fix this, there must be a way to implement this change, you buy the mtx for a reason. why make a item that voids the mtx for its specialty?
