Did someone say it was hard to sustain maps this league?

Some people say maps are hard to sustain this league. How is that even possible? They also say alchs are hard to sustain, I say "what are you talking about?". I have sold off about 800 alchs this league, and I still have 150+ left and going up each map I run.

Instead of bragging how many maps you've got, it would of been more helpful if you'd tell your strategy instead. Appearently alot of people struggle to maintain a red map pool.
Op strategy is pretty clear....full-time gamer.

Reminds me of that one thread where the guy was "proving" that everything is totally doable in SSF and that you can reach all items; he played for about 8-12 hours a day in the first weeks, and then ONLY played 4 hours per day for a month or two.

In other news, it snowed in my city this morning, so global warming doesn't exist.
And quite clearly by the total lack of any other tier 14, 15 and 16 maps to the quantity of the vaults, theres nothing at all wrong with buying maps

He's running quantity heavy with ethereal snoozer, its always the same strategy its called extreme playtime + meta bullshit :p

The irony here is with the build this dudes running he could actually buy a full stash tab of maps anyway rofl so it doesn't matter if he can sustain or not, or even if those maps dropped for him.

As you wish.

Stratergy:
Say you want a map base of T10 and above. Then you simply roll all T10 maps and then you play all T10 maps before you do any T11 or higher maps.

Step 1.)
If you, like me, like to shape your maps then make sure you have them all in the same area as you want to put your elder in that area in order to utalize the ping pong effect between shaper and elder influenced maps.

I have shaped Atoll (T11), Shaped Ramparts (T12), Shaped Armoury (T13), Shaped Vault (T14). As my T15s I don't shape as I plan on selling most of them off as people try to spawn elder on T15 for the last map fragment in order to get access to the uber elder fight.

Conclusion of step 1: Find a string of maps going from T6-T9 of which you enjoy running. Place your elder in the area in order to use the ping pong effect later.

Step 2a.)
As said earlier, you want to roll all your maps of the tier you want to run, this depends on what your current SOLID map base currently is. If you're on T8 as a solid map base, then you should have about 40 of those maps. If you have less, I wouldn't consider it a solid base. This also means, you most likely have about 20 maps of the tier above it, T9, which will help you in Step 4.) later.

Step 2b.) Rolling the maps:
To roll the maps you simply id the maps which are magic or rare. You use a scouring orb to turn them back to 'normal' as you'll be gaining most profit from chisels that way. You then chisel all the maps in your solid tier, follow it up with alching, rerolling the map rolls you can't do, preferable there should only be 1-2 rolls max you can't do on your character or if you have access to multiple characters. Once they're all alched and got rolls you can do you have 2 options.

Option 1: You vaal orb all the maps. This will gain you some +1, usually not that many, maybe 10%.

Option 2: You don't vaal orb the maps and instead you'll be able to run a zana mod on the maps.

Step 2c.) Use sextants. Most people will have access to at least 2 sextants as maximum on their atlas. Use them, reoll if you want, but generally I stick with pretty much everything.

Step 3.) Run all the maps. Do you have a solid base of the map tier above the one you just ran? Go to step 4.) Otheriwse, go to step 5.)

Step 4.) You're done running all the maps of the tier you set out to do, your then SOLID base tier. You should now have gained about 20-25 maps of the tier above this. Since you most likely had 20 maps or so of this tier, this case T9, it has now become a solid base. You return to Step 2b.) and work your way down to step 3.) again.

Step 5.) At some point you'll find it that you no longer have a solid base of the tier above the one you just ran. Then you simply go back about 2-3 tiers and go from step 2b.) again.

Conclusion:
Shape maps which are close togehter.
Spawn elder in that area in order to use the ping pong effect.
Roll all the maps of your solid base with chisels, alchs then either vaal orbs or use zana mods.
Make sure you use sextants, you most likely have access to at least 2.
Run the maps of your tier.
Run the maps of the next tier after that if it's a solid base, otherwise go back 2-3 tiers and run them, building up to the late game map tiers.

Sorry for the amazingly bad english or what not, but that's the stratergy. Good luck out there. Yes, it takes time, but you make a solid base, you make loads of money off drops, even more with iiq and iir gear.

Ah yeah, in order to sustain alchs, simply pick up all the unique drops, id them and vendor them unless they're worth a lot, (don't keep 1-2c worth, they won't sell anyway pretty much). With the pure alch drops you'll find and the unique items you'll make on average more than the one alch you spent on rolling the map.
That's what I mean... this guy's playing with the definition of "sustain" being Playing different tiers until you're out of them. In many people's definition, he's only "sustaining" the lowest tier he'll run... which is probably T11 or T12.
I have about 80 alcs in hand and sold 50 earlier in the league and I shaped underground sea as my only t11 for a week (survivalist div card). Not that I am having issue sustaining maps or alcs but claiming 1000 alcs in hand without most of that coming from trading (which would mean circumventing the entire drop rate issue) is disingenuous unless we are playing different games.
