I hadn't played in a while, so I had no idea about Desert Springs.
1. Buy map to add it to atlas. 2. Reach boss. 3. Exit map. Remove map from atlas. You have to be realistic about these things.

Yeah, this boss is super annoying, with all that artificially added "dead playtime". I still don't skip it (most of the time) because of the small chance the [Removed by Support] will drop maps.

the issue is not that the boss is hard, it is easy to kill but a complete waste of time walking slowly through the corridor until it has finally decided to follow you to the final room where you can kill it. you could run another entire map in that time...
