How to get elder influence on shaper's realm

I now have shaper influence on shaper's realm and 3 other guardians, elder influence on one of the guardians. I assumed that beating shaper can spread elder influence into shpaer's realm, but apparently nothing happens after that....

So what is the right way to get elder influence on shaper's realm?? Beat 3 other guardians??

P.s. I died once during shaper fight, not sure if that affects anything

1) Complete "The Memory Eater" and Sanity's Requiem quests meaning you have all the shaper orbs.
2) Start doing Shaper Influence map and let the Elder influence grow near T16 guardians
3) Start killing all T16 Guardians with Shaper influence
4) By killing Shaper influenced Guardians, you spread Elder influence to the guardians
5) Do above task while spreading Elder influence to all of the Guardians
6) Now Defeat all Elder Guardians on all T16 maps
7) Enter corrupted Shaper realm which is Uber Elder + Shaper battle
