PoE ignores captures and deletes your beasts! No warning given!

This would explain why I'm having a hard time capturing null portal monsters. Most of them say "new" but I always fail to capture them for some reason.

nah you can't capture null monsters because they are bugged right now. Fightgarr and I also failed to capture a bunch of them. Different types of mobs, nets dont get thrown on them. Maybe they forgot to add them to the list of mobs we can throw nets on :/

Portal monsters appear to have a completely different issue.

After a few deaths and 20 minutes of running around I came to the conclusion that new spawns from the portal can't be captured.
You can capture the monsters that are already available near the portal.

If you try to net new spawns, there is no reaction - no warning that its not a beast, no net thrown, you just sit there.

I might be wrong, but based on that theory I managed to capture all types of portal monster. Its a real pain, because they die if you look at them wrong, but at least I got the marks in the stupid book.
What? Who thought this was a good idea?

I just want to play & throw nets at yellow & reds. I don't want to keep a count how many fuckin beasts I've catched
IGN: Bekspuiter
You know, there is a line like

"
Snakes (x/16) [y/30 in Storage]

for each sub-type in the Bestiary. That should have given you a hint ... also, the number you can have varies for each sub-type.

^ This is correct. I've caught all null portal mobs as well. On the other hand, carrion minions are ALWAYS considered 'summoned mobs', they got a permanent "NEW" next to their name but they'll be forever untouchable.
Beyond stupid. Here I've been tossing nets left and right all the while thinking I'll go back and check out the bestiary later. Good to know I can stop picking up nets and capturing beasts.
Last I checked it was common knowledge that if you're capped on a certain beast, and you capture another one of the same kind, it will replace the lowest common denominator existing one.
I honestly never noticed this, but if in fact my menageries are full... is there at least a way for me to release the white/lower level beasts I don't want? Or do I have to burn them with crafting?
Why are people surprised? We knew from day 1 that there was a limit.
Wait, if beasts in your Menagerie get overwritten by mob-level instead of rarity, then erm... Dumb question maybe but what do you do if you filled certain creature types fully with the highest level white mobs (and thus you cannot empty your Menagerie by crafting)? Are you then doomed (not being able to capture those types again) to wait until the patch with orbs hits?

I assume this happened to nobody so far but it should be possible to get stuck like this right?

Given that there's beasts that can't be captured even though they're marked as new you should not be surprised since ggg releases a league that didn't even go through qa.

Worry not they will start spambegging as usual soon.
