Data Usage for PoE Per Hour?

Does anyone know the approx Data Usage for PoE per hour?

I ask because a friend of mine is connecting via a mobile hotspot for the moment and it would help to ensure that she can ration out her dosage of PoE and not have to go cold turkey 2 weeks in to avoid any overage charges on her phone.

Usually you can see your data usage on you mobile account so it should be easy for your friend to see that herself.

Hopefully less. World of Warcraft is less than 40 mb for 4-6 hours of play.

I don't see why people use that, It's slow and cost alot more.

We have been trying to keep a monitor of the usage, but it has been delayed in reporting and when there are other things such as surfing and updates taking place, it's not easy to tell how much is being used just by playing PoE. So having an estimate of the data amount is really nice (the closest we've been able to figure so far is >100 MB/Hr).

With that in mind, We will be doing some experimentation as well, I just didn't want to see her burn through the allotment just playing a couple of days.

Sometimes people make do with what they have, and for now mobile hotspot is the only connection she has to the internet, She says the connection to PoE has been pretty stable and most of the time the lag isn't noticeable, so for the short term, she won't have to quit her addiction cold turkey. :)

Intresting thread, some people still need to use this kind of connection and im plnning to do so aswell for a while. Bumping this thread to see if anyone did manage to collect more data.

I just wanted to play an hour and watch the data... but it took quite a while to download the recent patch. 380 MB is quite a lot for a "minor" patch with a few items/skills and some improved arts.

You cannot play without the latest patch, so keep in mind these big chunks of data when calculating quotas.

Played an hour, including game start, checking offers in town and easy killing in some areas in all 3 acts (solo).
Data-rate measured with the program "NetSpeedMonitor"

up + download
2,5 MB + 4,9 MB after 30 min
4,0 MB + 7,9 MB after 1h

Thank you Wraeklops, I am on satellite (blech) and the excess download charges are horrendous- not to mention the woeful speed. So it is good to know it isn't 100 Mb an hour or anything.
Now, if I can just get this portal for my Mac working....
