Energy Shield for Casters

I can understand that Energy Shield, especially Chaos Inoculation, was too strong and did need a nerf.

Chaos Inoculation now grants no additional energy shield bonus. Its complete immunity to chaos damage, synergy with Blood Rage and other skill combos are deemed sufficient upside to counteract the life penalty.
Discipline: Mana cost increased by 40. Energy Shield granted significantly(~50%) reduced.
The maximum flat energy shield that can be gained on an item has been reduced.
Fixed a problem with energy shield percentage mods on armour being too high.

That seems a bit much for a single Patch, if you add all these together it means that you have only around 40% of the Energy Shield you had before.

CI: For a caster the free Blood Rage and Melee Damage on Full Life are almost useless(but they are really good for a Shadow with Ghost Reaver)
It also cost way more than "just" loosing your life (thats 1500 life because you need that much to prevent being stunlocked/permafrozen), it also means you have to invest quite alot of points in mana because Blood Magic or Eldritch Battery are not viable for you. The thing that made it OP was Ghost Reaver, nerf this when you want to make ES useful again without killing balance.

Discipline: Grace is twice as effective as this one, if you want to prevent Eldritch Battery users to abuse this make it a 40% Aura and copy the numbers from determination.

Chaos Damage Maps: Do you think it is funny that you will never regen Energy Shield there unless you pick CI? You really now how to make things mandatory before nerfing them into uselessness.

Edit: Maybe add "Players loose all Armor/Evasion" or "Players have Chaos Inoculation" mods to the pool to balance things a bit more, lol
Edit2: That actually doesn't sound that absurd when you think about "Players have Blood Magic" is a funny mod for CI users.

Yeah, ES is just about worse than armor now. Not sure how that one happened. Ironically, the one OP part of CI remains... Why the hell should we get free Blood Rage? I mentioned this ages ago... At least with the Alpha changes from way back it was no longer free, even if it was based on pre-CI life. Instead, CI as a whole is pretty damn shitty yet you get that free 3-6 frenzy charges as you die!

Why there is so large locomotion about Blood rage. Last time I checked casterwitches usually go with wands, orcan go with them as inter changable weapon. You may get those Frenzy charges using your wand with frenzy+increased accuracy. And you don't need to sucrifice your health. I really wish there was larger justification then just blood rage.
