One simple question you should ask yourself whenever you beastcraft something:

Was this crafting experience realy better than clearing multiple breaches/using muliple league stones/Abysses ?

Do I ask myself this question every time I beastcraft?!
Yes, we should always ponder if what we're doing is actually entertaining enough or if we may be just missing something much more entertaining and are simply wasting our time on something less entertaining. This crushing doubt of inadequate happiness shall be the curse of your existence.

Most people don't craft in the first place. So for most people this will be an entirely new concept. And even if you are someone who crafts using currency, finding beasts on the field that are worth a lot will be a more engaging experience over all because you have to fight, capture, then beast craft it. Which is admittedly more interactive than waiting for random currency to fall in your favor imo.
I'm going to be playing SSF... so this crafting thing is AWESOME for me. Bring it on!

For standard league I can understand it's a bit "meh"... but that's what makes this the perfect time to finally try SSF :)

The answer to your question will most likely be yes.
when ever you eat fish'n'chips, you should ask yourself:
isnt spaghetti better?

no.
dont have to.
leagues are different.
and thats what they are for.
to be different.

If you have to ask yourself if you're having fun... you need to go back and punch your Kindergarten teacher. That was where you were supposed to learn how to have fun.
It will probably be better to capture the expensive ones, sell them to others and just buy the rewards or challenges from others. Will see what the challenges are. Experience wise it just seems annoying speacially for common stuff.
